The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers - St. Paul District is seeking a contractor to control undesirable vegetation at five (5) forest management locations in Western Wisconsin, primarily through the application of herbicides. The five locations are on Army Corps of Engineers (COE) property, totalling approximately 45.9 acres, in Pierce, Buffalo, La Crosse, Vernon and Crawford Counties in Wisconsin. Four of the areas are within the Upper Mississippi River National Fish and Wildlife Refuge. These sites are in various stages of restoration to maintain floodplain forest habitat. Undesirable vegetation is competing with regenerating forest trees for space, water and nutrients. Multiple applications using a variety of chemical and mechanical treatments (primarily application of selective herbicides) will be required to achieve vegetation control during the 2017 growing season. Some areas are accessible by land, while others are accessible only by boat. Parties submitting quotes are highly encouraged to inspect/view the sites prior to quoting. Government personnel will not be available for personal tours of sites. This solicitation is a Request for Quotes (RFQ) with a 100% Small Business Set-Aside, which will lead to the award of one firm-fixed price (FFP) contract. NAICS Code: 561730, Landscaping Services PSC Code: S208, Housekeeping - Landscaping/Groundskeeping OFFEROR SHALL BE REGISTERED IN SAM (System for Award Management) https://www.sam.gov to include the FAR and DFARS Reps and Certs sections with the NAICS code applicable to the solicitation.
