Full Description

The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to award a sole source purchase order to Unicom Systems, Inc., 15535 San Fernando Mission Blvd, Mission Hills, CA 91345, to procure updated software for the current tablets/computers and accessories using the existing software for the ZIKA follow-on study. The statutory authority for this sole source acquisition is 10 U.S.C 2304(c) (1) in accordance with FAR Part 6.302-1- only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency requirement. The NAICS code for this procurement is 423430, Computer and computer peripheral equipment and software merchant wholesalers. Unicom Systems, Inc. is an innovative software solutions for enterprise IT Company that offers a broad range of solutions across many platforms. They offer many different operating systems and technologies including CICS Automation, System Performance, Application Modernization and proprietary software specifically for the CDC. The purpose of the procurement is to renew the current software for NCCDPHP. Unicom Systems, Inc. is the single source needed for this procure and they have not licensed or authorized any other parties to perform these duties. As a result of this synopsis, no competitive solicitation will be posted on FedBizOpps. We will issue only one solicitation to Unicom Systems, Inc. However, responsible sources that believe they can meet these requirements are encouraged to identify themselves and give written notice by providing a capability statement to the Contracting Specialist by April 21, 2017. The Contracting Specialist will not respond to verbal request. All requests must be in writing. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed action will be based on responses to this notice and are solely within the discretion of the Contracting Specialist.
