Union — Remove the Existing Flashing Beacon and Replace with a Traffic Signal in the Town of Union.

The Maine Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for Federal Project No. 028428.00, which involves the removal of an existing flashing beacon and the installation of a fully actuated traffic signal control system in the town of Union, Knox County. The project is located at the intersection of Heald Highway (Route 17/131/235), Town House Road (Route 235), and Sennebec Road. The scope of work includes the installation of an ATC signal cabinet, MMU, detection systems, signal heads, and remote communication via VPN to a central management system. Contractors are responsible for all supervision, labor, equipment, and materials, as well as construction quality control, system start-up, and acceptance testing.
