University of Alberta - Advanced Contract Award Notice / Notice of Proposed Procurement - Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS)

The University of Alberta has issued an Advanced Contract Award Notice for the procurement of a Picture Archiving and Communications System (PACS) for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry. The contract is awarded to Infinitt North America to ensure the Faculty of Dentistry upgrades its current system to meet the security protocols mandated by the Alberta Health Information Act. Infinitt North America was selected as the sole provider because it is the only vendor capable of offering the necessary functionality for 3D manipulation of IntraOral Scans and CBCT images. Other available options, such as MiPACS, only provide view-only functionality, which does not meet the specific clinical requirements of the institution. This technical necessity has resulted in an absence of competition for the procurement.
