PRE-SOLICITATION NOTICE - The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office, located in Stockton, California, intends to issue a solicitation with a requirement to Upgrade the Fire Alarm System on the federal property at the Metropolitan Correctional Center (MCC), located in San Diego, California. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS 2007) code applicable to this notice is 561621, with a size standard of $12.5 million. The magnitude of this project is between $100,000.00 and $250,000.00. The period of performance is 182 calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This solicitation is 100% set aside for small business. Bid, performance, and payment bonds will be required. All offerors are required to check this website daily to be notified of any changes to this solicitation. Posting of the solicitation is projected to be on or about January 26, 2011, with a projected bid due-date of March 1, 2011. These dates are subject to change. Security investigations and subsequent clearances issued by the Federal Bureau of Prisons will be required for all staff who perform any contract activity on the property of MCC San Diego. Residency requirements are applicable to this solicitation. Bidding officials and contractor employees working under this contract on Federal grounds will be required to sign a certification that for three of the five years immediately prior to responding to this solicitation, the bidder and employees have: resided in the United States; worked for the U.S. overseas in a Federal or military capacity; or has been a dependent of a federal or military employee serving overseas. Faith-Based and Community-Based organization can submit offers/bids/quotations equally with other organizations for contracts for which they are eligible.
