Full Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Institution, Estill, South Carolina intends to issue a government purchase order to Senstar, Inc., Herdon, Virginia, for the provision of flexzone and ultrawave microwave sensor equipment for the Federal Correctional Institution, Estill, South Carolina upgrade of the perimeter detection system. This equipment is needed to upgrade and replace already existing equipment. Purchasing this equipment directly from the manufacture extends continued technical assistance services, and will not remove any protection and service assistance afforded to the Bureau. The contract type will be an definite delivery/requirements type contract. Any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer by March 25, 2016, 2:00pm. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirements listed and show that competition would be advantageous to the Government. This requirement will be awarded in accordance with the policies and procedures as set forth in FAR Part 13. No solicitation is available. Responses received will be evaluated; however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. If no responses are received, the Government will proceed with the sole source acquisition to Senstar, Inc., Herdon,Virginia.
