Use Permit 24-0003

Shasta County has approved Use Permit 24-0003 for Everest Infrastructure Partners to construct, operate, and maintain an unmanned commercial wireless telecommunications facility. Located on a 4.74-acre site at 27927 Camino Real in Shingletown, California, at the southeast corner of Camino Real and State Highway 44 (APN 094-400-017), the project features a 154-foot-tall monopole tower. The tower is designed with three four-sector antenna mounts capable of supporting up to sixteen antennas and twelve remote radio units per sector. The facility will include two outdoor equipment cabinets and a 30-kilowatt diesel backup generator with a 210-gallon fuel tank, all situated within a 45-foot by 45-foot fenced ground lease area. Additional site improvements include a gravel driveway and necessary utility connections. The project received approval on February 13, 2025, following a Mitigated Negative Declaration prepared under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), which determined that no significant environmental impacts are expected provided that specific mitigation measures are implemented. As a condition of approval, the applicant must adhere to these mitigation measures and has requested an exception from standard wireless telecommunication landscaping requirements. The project is managed by the Shasta County Planning Division, with the official notice sent to the clerk on August 14, 2025.
