The U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS) has issued an emergency single source solicitation for the urgent replacement of two failed ozone chillers at the Coleman National Fish Hatchery. These chillers are critical for the proper functioning of the ozone system, which disinfects water used in rearing 14 million chinook salmon and steelhead trout. Failure of the ozone system could expose the fish to harmful pathogens and jeopardize the hatchery's mission. The solicitation was directed to Air Treatment Corporation, and due to the emergency nature of the task, the replacement must be completed quickly to prevent further shutdowns of the water chiller system. This notice, issued by the FWS Pacific Regional Office in Portland, Oregon, serves purely as informational and is not a request for proposals, quotes, or bids. Although no solicitation will be issued, vendors interested in providing these services in the future may submit supporting documentation demonstrating their capabilities by the specified deadline. Communication regarding this opportunity is limited to email only, with Aaron Eubank as the point of contact. The notice emphasizes that the government will not cover any costs incurred in responding to this announcement.
