Utility Pole Replacement Project 725-6US-1153

Southern California Edison has been granted an encroachment permit by Caltrans District 7 to replace two distribution poles and two guy-anchors along State Route 33 at postmile 53.47 in Maricopa, Ventura County. The work includes replacing poles #851462E and #851460E along with their associated guy-anchors, as well as installing two span guys over the roadway. Additional work involves replacing seven poles located outside the state right-of-way, longitudinally replacing aerial wire, and performing a single crossing over the roadway. Another phase of the project requires replacing poles #4837020E and #851478E, along with eight additional poles outside Caltrans jurisdiction, further longitudinal wire replacement, and one roadway crossing. All excavation activities are limited to a maximum depth of 96 inches, width of 24 inches, and length of 24 feet. No public utilities will be relocated and no new right-of-way will be acquired. Temporary traffic control measures will be implemented as needed during the work, with no impact to existing utility infrastructure beyond the specified replacements.
