The Department of Veterans Affairs, VISN 7, Network Contracting Activity intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c) (1) - FAR 6.302-2 - Unusual and Compelling Urgency. The award will be made to Life Care of Alabama, 532A Sparkman Street South, Hartselle, AL 35640. The requirement is for Ambulance Transport Services for the Birmingham VA Medical Center. This action will result in a three month period of performance extension to a Firm-Fixed Price contract, commencing on 01 Jan 2011 through 31 March 2011.
