Vandenberg Village Pavement Preservation Project (CAPM)

The Vandenberg Village Pavement Preservation Project (CAPM) is a transportation infrastructure initiative by Caltrans District 5 to rehabilitate approximately six miles of State Route 1 in Santa Barbara County, spanning from post mile 23.000 to 29.891 near Lompoc. The scope includes comprehensive pavement restoration using Rubberized Hot Mix Asphalt, the replacement of 1,900 linear feet of guardrail to MASH compliance standards, rehabilitation of 21 ADA-accessible curb ramps, installation of bicycle conflict markings at eight intersections, widening of shoulders to accommodate bike turn lanes, repair of three culverts, and upgrade of four roadside signs for improved retroreflectivity.
