This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office intends to make line item purchase order awards for the provision of Various Food Items to be supplied to the Metropolitan Detention Center located in Los Angeles, California (MDCLA). General information about Bureau facilities is available at www.bop.gov CONTRACT CLAUSES: 52.252-2 -- Clauses Incorporated by Reference (Feb 1998). This contract incorporates one or more clauses by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. Quoters are hereby notified that the institution does not maintain a dock for deliveries. Truck drivers will have to park on the street. MDCLA does have forklift capabilities. The truck driver will have to push the pallets to the end of the cab in order for the forklift to pull from the cab. Scheduled delivery times are required due to limited access and a resultant award will include contact details and contact information to schedule delivery appointments. Deliveries will generally be scheduled for Monday - Thursday between the hours of 6:00AM through 11:00AM. MDCLA is located downtown at 535 N ALAMEDA STREET, LOS ANGELES, CA 90012 Acceptance: The awarded contractor is expected to return a signed copy of the SF-1449 award document to establish acceptance of contract terms within 3 day after issuance of an award offer. Failure to do so may result in withdrawal of the government's offer of award. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2019-06. SOLICITATION PROVISIONS: 52.252-1 Solicitation Provisions Incorporated by Reference This solicitation incorporates one or more provisions by reference, with the same force and effect as if they were given in full text. The additional provisions listed below are incorporated into this solicitation via addendum to this provision. All references to "Offer" and "Offeror" are changed to "Quote" and "Quoter" respectively. 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items (Oct 2018) Evaluation and Award Methodology: This acquisition will be procured in accordance with FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items and Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. All items must conform to line item descriptions derived from the current Bureau of Prisons National Menu Specifications. Any quotes for items that do not conform to stated specifications may not be considered for award. The Government intends to evaluate quotes considering price and past performance. Award will be offered to the quoter whose quote is considered most advantageous to the government. Award will be made in accordance with FAR 52.212-1(g). Quoters are advised that the Contracting Officer will verify registration in the System for Award Management database (www.sam.gov) prior to award of any contract, by entering the potential awardee DUNS number into the database. Failure to complete a registration record may result in elimination from consideration for award. The North American Industrial Classification (NAICS) code is 311421, Fruit and Vegetable Canning and the applicable small business size standard is 1000 employees.
