Vendor Application for Exhibitors for Veteran's Day event at Fort Monroe

The Fort Monroe Authority is seeking veteran-owned or operated businesses to serve as exhibitors for the Answering the Call 2026 Veteran's Day event. The event will take place on November 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Continental Park in Fort Monroe, Virginia, with the Fort Monroe Visitor and Education Center serving as the rain location. Interested vendors must submit their applications by October 10, 2026, to Rachel Icard. Selection is based on a 70-point evaluation system. While veteran-owned or operated status is a mandatory pass/fail requirement, points are awarded for small business status, the variety and quality of items offered, the provision of free or discounted services for veterans, and the ability to appeal to a wide range of military audiences and families. Selected vendors are required to provide a completed W-9 and proof of liability insurance naming the Fort Monroe Authority and the Commonwealth of Virginia as additional insured. Operational requirements for the event include arriving onsite by 8:00 am and being fully prepared for the public by 9:30 am. Vendors are responsible for providing their own staff for unloading, floor-length table coverings, and identifying signage. Additionally, participating vendors must agree to promote the event through their own mailing or email lists. Displays may not be removed until after the event concludes at 3:00 pm.
