The contract pertains to maintenance of the approximately 1-acre asphalt parking lot serving the visitor's center and staff at the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge. The scope of work involves cleaning and preparing the surface, filling cracks with hot rubberized filler, applying a commercial grade asphalt sealer, and re-striping the parking areas to match the existing layout. The contractor is also responsible for providing traffic management supplies, such as cones and sawhorses, to redirect visitors to an alternate parking area during maintenance. Key dates include a site visit scheduled for June 23, 2026, with a deadline for questions on June 24 and quotes due by July 3, 2026. The contract is set aside for total small business participation under NAICS code 237310, covering highway, street, and bridge construction. The Department of the Interior’s Construction A/E Team 2 and the Fish and Wildlife Service are the contracting agencies, with points of contact provided for coordination. The Missisquoi NWR requires its visitor¿s center and staff parking lot asphalt surface to be maintained to prevent degradation and improve striping visibility.
The ~1.0 acre asphalt parking lot was created when the new refuge office and visitor's center was built in 2006. Maintenance was completed in 2019. 4. Re-stripe all paring areas to match existing layout.
5. Provide cones, sawhorses or other traffic management supplies to direct visitor's to separate parking area at refuge shop facility
