DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES NEEDED:1. Request a containment enclosure, setup, and maintained operating with electrical lights, climate control equipment, to support flight deck nonskid replacement. The Containment Enclosure dimensions shall be 320 feet by 85 feet. Initial setup with TWO moves, shall be accomplished on board the ship's flight deck. Duration of Enclosure's operation is 30 days. Early assembly on the pier will not be authorized due to homecoming. Assembly will be 7 days. Disassembly will be 7 days. A. The containment enclosure structure must be modular in design and configurable if necessary to change the length.B. The structure shall be easily movable in a safe, controlled manner, using small forklifts and / or manpower without major disassembly, or breakdown, to minimize setup delays.C. The containment enclosure shall be constructed of light weight fire resistant materials, designed to distribute the load over the covered area, and protect the new coatings from contamination / damage. The total weight of the enclosure system must allow for a maximum point load of 1600 lbs/sq ft. Pneumatic tires with wheels must be soft enough to prevent damage to the new non-skid.D. Structure shall be capable of spanning up to 320 feet long by 85 feet wide, without internal support in contact with the deck. Internal deck areas must be unobstructed to allow access with ten feet tall clearance as a minimum clear height. The structure shall have as a minimum, one sealable access opening at each end, ten feet tall by twelve feet wide. E. Structure and containment fabric shall be capable of withstanding 70 mph winds. Provide one 24 hour a day watch to monitor and control maintenance of the enclosure, including operation when environmental conditions are critical inside.F. Containment fabric shall be easily repairable, sealable, and capable of containing and excluding pollutants. Provide and maintain access for other contractor's services as required.G. CHECK POINT (V) (G) Environmental Conditions Set. (At Initial set and Reset) Containment enclosure shall establish and maintain a controlled environment in accordance with NSTM Chapter 634, including table 634-3-6, found under paragraph 634-3.26.H. CHECK POINT (V) (G) No Leaks Allowed. (At Initial Set and Reset)The enclosure shall include / provide an integral watertight seal around the base, capable of conforming to the deck and excluding all water from the inside work areas.I. Provide Illumination inside the containment. Light shall be a minimum of 50 foot candle power at the working surface.J. Provide Air exchange, as a minimum of 4 complete exchanges per hour.2. The contractor shall be self sufficient. All support equipment such as a crane, fork lifts, man lifts, generators, and fuel, shall be included. Electrical power may be purchased from NAVFAC MIDLANT: POC is Paul Milbourn, +1 (555) 000-0000. Setup an account for labor and commodities with the comptroller at least one week in advance at +1 (555) 000-0000, X-3184 or X-3186.3. The contractor will be required to construct and set the required environmental conditions of the enclosure initially over the landing area, plus TWO additional move and reset of environmental conditions, as directed by the SUPERVISOR. 4. The contractor shall lift equipment directly to and from the flight deck due to Aircraft Elevator scheduled maintenance. Ship's Force will provide 150 FT of Pier Lay down area.
