This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for Architect-Engineer (A-E) services prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 36.2, Brooks Act. The Government intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract for the services described herein.1. PROJECT DESCRIPTIONThe Contractor shall provide all necessary professional engineering services to conduct a comprehensive assessment of a single-story, approximately 12,000 square foot clinic facility located in Puerto Rico. The work consists of a Base requirement and one (1) Optional requirement.? Base Requirement: A complete non-invasive structural assessment to evaluate the building?s structural integrity, identify deficiencies, and provide a report with a prioritized list of recommended repairs and an estimated magnitude of cost.? Optional Requirement: A complete mechanical (HVAC) assessment to evaluate the condition and performance of the HVAC system and its components. This includes performing an engineering analysis based on ACCA Manuals N, S, and D to determine if the equipment and ductwork are correctly sized and configured for the facility. If exercised, this option will require a separate report with prioritized recommendations and cost estimates.The Government may exercise the Option at its sole discretion after a review of the Structural Assessment Report. A detailed Statement of Work is provided in the attachments.
