Water Softener No. 1 Retrofit Srvc. - JOB WALK

The County of Los Angeles Department of Internal Services is soliciting bids for the retrofit of Water Softener No. 1 at the Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center Central Utility Plant. The project involves the comprehensive maintenance of a 1600 Gallon Triplex Impulse Water Softener Tank, including draining, descaling, pressure washing, and the application of a protective ceramic lining, such as Hebco or an equivalent. The scope further requires the reloading of ion-exchange resin and filter rock. Qualified vendors must possess C-61 and D-12 California State licenses, demonstrate 20 years of experience in coating pressure vessels, and provide a three-year unconditional warranty on all materials and labor. Work is expected to be completed within 6 to 8 weeks of the purchase order and must be performed within a 5 to 10 working day window of plant downtime. Bids are due by October 21, 2025, at 12:00 PM PST and must be submitted exclusively through the Vendor Self Service portal. The award will be based on the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable methodology, where the contract is granted to the lowest responsible bidder who meets all technical specifications.
