Water Supply Assessment for the Falcon Glen Project

The Water Supply Assessment for the Falcon Glen Project is an administrative and regulatory action by Los Angeles County Public Works and Los Angeles County Waterworks District No. 40, Antelope Valley. The project involves a 163-acre development in Palmdale, California, consisting of 708 residential units and 37.7 acres of park and open space. The primary objective is to verify that the District has sufficient water supplies to meet a projected demand of 535.6 acre-feet per year over a 20-year horizon, accounting for normal, single-dry, and multiple-dry year scenarios. This assessment is conducted in compliance with California Water Code Section 10910 et seq. and Senate Bill 610, utilizing the 2020 Urban Water Management Plan as a technical basis. Approved by the Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors on July 15, 2025, the assessment confirms that water availability is adequate to support the project in addition to existing and planned future uses. The action is exempt from the California Environmental Quality Act under Public Resources Code sections 15061(b)(3) and 15378(b)(5).
