Weight Handling Equipment (WHE) Program Services Sources Sought Notice. The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Carderock Division (NSWCCD) is issuing this sources sought notice pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10 (Market Research) and FAR Part 12 (Acquisition of Commercial Services). The objective of this announcement is to identify capable, qualified commercial contractors and assess market interest and capacity across socio-economic small business concerns (including Small Businesses, Small Disadvantaged Businesses (SDB), 8(a) Program Participants, Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) firms, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), and Women-Owned Small Businesses (WOSB)) as well as to evaluate the feasibility of establishing a competitive small business set-aside. This announcement is published strictly for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Proposals (RFP), Invitation for Bids (IFB), or Request for Quotations (RFQ), nor does it commit the Government to award a contract or pay for any costs incurred in preparing or submitting a response. Interested commercial sources must submit a four-page Capability Statement demonstrating the companys capability to meet the requirement to the designated Contracting Points of Contact on or before the response due date.
