General Notice New Freedom Borough (Owner) is requesting Bids for the construction of the following Project: Wellhouse No. 1 Upgrades
Online sealed bids for the construction will be received by New Freedom Borough via the PennBid Program (https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com) until September 2, 2026 at 10:00 am prevailing time at which time and place, said bids will be visible once sealed bids are opened. The Project includes, but is not limited to, the following Work to upgrade Wellhouse No. 1: 1. 14’ X 14’ brick masonry addition to existing Wellhouse No. 1. 2. Duplex ion exchange softening treatment units. 3. Outdoor backup power generator and automatic transfer switch. 4. Heating and ventilation improvements. 5. Flow metering and control valves and analytical equipment. 6. Tempered water eyewash station. 7. 4’ X 4’ vault and access hatch at the entry to the 24-inch chlorine contact pipe. 8. Various piping modifications including a new drain to sanitary.
Bids are requested for the following Contract: Wellhouse No. 1 Upgrades The Project has an expected duration of 300 days. Obtaining the Bidding Documents Information and Bidding Documents for the Project can be found on the following designated website: https://pennbid.bonfirehub.com Bidding Documents may be downloaded from the designated website. Prospective Bidders are urged to register with the designated website as a plan holder, even if Bidding Documents are obtained from a plan room or source other than the designated website in either electronic or paper format. The designated website will be updated periodically with addenda, lists of registered plan holders, reports, and other information relevant to submitting a Bid for the Project. All official notifications, addenda, and other Bidding Documents will be offered only through the designated website. Neither Owner nor Engineer will be responsible for Bidding Documents, including addenda, if any, obtained from sources other than the designated website.
