Wendover Wharf Demolition, Wendover, ON

The Wendover Wharf Demolition project, managed by the Department of Fisheries and Oceans for the Government of Canada, involves the removal and site restoration of facilities located at the end of Du Quai Avenue on the south side of the Ottawa River in Wendover, Ontario. The scope of work requires the installation and maintenance of a turbidity curtain to protect the in-water environment during the demolition and disposal of two wharves, a concrete launch ramp, two concrete retaining walls, asphalt, concrete barriers, fencing, signage, and a light standard. Additional requirements include the salvaging and regrading of existing ballast stone and rip rap, as well as the removal and subsequent reinstatement of two information signs. To complete the site restoration, the contractor must supply and install a granular base, new asphalt, and rip rap.
