Title: Wharf Repairs - Batchawana & Mamainse Harbour, Ontario
Project Description:
This project is located at two (2) Small Craft Harbour (SCH) sites in northern Ontario.
Site locations #1 is Batchawana Harbour, Ontario (46°54'27.6"N 84°35'49.3"W). Batchawana is located 5km off of the Trans Canada Hwy#17, approximately 75km North of Sault ste. Marie, Ontario.
Site locations #2 is Mamainse Harbour, Ontario (47°02'10.9"N 84°47'01.4"W). Mamainse is located 200m off of the Trans Canada Hwy#17, approximately 92km North of Sault ste. Marie, Ontario.
The purpose of this project is to repair the existing Government Wharf at both site locations.
The work under this contract covers:
1. Site location #1 (Batchawana):
1.1. Removal of existing timber deck boards (Approximately 210m2).
1.2. Salvage and reinstate all timber curbs, chocking and bollards.
1.3. Supply and install new treated fir deck boards(Approximately. 210m2).
1.4. Install DFO supplied identity sign and posts on new concrete piers.
2. Site location #2 (Mamainse):
2.1. Selective removal of approx. 10 timber deck boards.
2.2. Supply and install approx. 10 new treated fir deck boards.
2.3. Install DFO supplied identity sign on existing steel posts.
It is anticipated the contractor can perform and complete the work in approximately 5-7 weeks beginning on November 25th, 2024.
The Contractor must perform and complete the Work by February 15th, 2025.
