Winter Sand

The Town of South Bruce Peninsula is soliciting sealed bids under Tender 26-15 for the supply, delivery, and stockpiling of screened winter sand. The scope of work involves providing approximately 2,200 tonnes of sand, with an estimated 1,200 tonnes for the Albemarle Works Yard and 1,000 tonnes for the Amabel Sand/Salt Building. Bids must be submitted online via the Town's Bids and Tenders website by 11:00 am local time on September 29, 2026. Mandatory submission requirements include Tender Form 1 for pricing, Tender Form 2 for references, and a Statement by Bidder. To be considered valid, bidders must provide at least three municipal references for similar services and describe their process for managing conflicts of interest. Technical compliance requires adherence to OPSS 1004 and OPSS 314 standards, and material samples must be approved by the Town before work commences. Insurance requirements include Commercial General Liability of 5 million dollars and Sudden and Accidental Pollution Insurance of 2 million dollars. Award of the contract is subject to budgetary constraints and Town approval.
