Z--DK Heart Butte Dam Safety Modification

The Heart Butte Dam Safety Modification project, under solicitation number 140R6026R0004 and managed by the Bureau of Reclamation’s Great Plains Regional Office in Billings, Montana, aims to mitigate static and hydrologic risks of internal erosion at Heart Butte Dam in North Dakota as part of the Pick-Sloan Missouri Basin Program. The scope of work includes the installation of a jet grout cutoff wall in the permeable sandstone foundation downstream and to the right of the outlet works, construction of a blanket filter drainage system, and placement of a sand filter trench downstream and to the left of the outlet works.
