Description of Requirement: This synopsis is not a request for quotes or proposals. This is a pre-solicitation notice that a solicitation is scheduled to be released via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) in the near future detailing requirements for a service requirement entitled: Dworshak Dam Elevator Maintenance at Dworshak Dam. This is a non-personal services contract to provide Elevator Maintenance, Repair, Inspection and Safety Testing/Certification at U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Dworshak Dam & Reservoir, Ahsahka, Idaho. The Contractor shall inspect, maintain, and repair the five Dworshak elevators to ensure maximum availability for safe use by Government personnel. The Contractor shall maintain elevators, equipment appurtenances, and accessories so as to comply with the requirements of the latest edition of the ASME A17.1 and all other applicable laws, regulations, rules, ordinance, codes, etc., including the recommendations of the original equipment manufacturer (OEM). The Elevator Inspector's Manual ASME A 17.2 shall be used as a guide to establish that equipment is operating safely. Site visit: A site visit will be offered approximately 10 days after the solicitation is made available to bidders. The solicitation will include details regarding the site visit. Other information: The solicitation will be posted to the Federal Business Opportunities web site (www.fbo.gov) when released. Quotes/Proposals will be due approximately 3 weeks after the actual solicitation issuance date. This is scheduled to be issued as a Firm-Fixed Price Service contract.
