Full Description

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Portland District, is proposing to fill 10 scour holes that have developed on the concrete surface of the Bonneville stilling basin. These scour holes have developed in Bays 9, 12 and 14 along with an undercut area under the edge of the spillway apron (downstream edge of the stilling basin) between Bays 2 and 4. For the stilling basin surface scour holes, the contractor will need to: 1) prepare for the concrete "patch" placement by cutting the existing concrete around the edges of each scour hole; 2) drill holes for the placement of rebar; and 3) place an estimated 125cy of concrete via a tremie pour method. The total surface area of new concrete patches is expected to be approximately 3500 square feet. The undercut between Bays 2 and 4 has been estimated to require an additional 255 cy of concrete. The work is scheduled to begin November 1, 2012 and finish March 31, 2013. Complete details including a detailed specification package will be included in the solicitation. This is an unrestricted procurement. The NAICS Code is 237990 and the small business size standard is 33.5 million. The Magnitude of Construction is between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00.
