Screening Information Request (SIR) for the Strategic Sourcing for the Acquisition of Various Supplies and Equipment (SAVES)

The Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration issued a Screening Information Request (SIR) for a multiple-award Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract aimed at strategically sourcing various IT supplies and equipment across the DOT. The procurement encompasses a broad range of products including hardware such as servers, switches, storage arrays, personal computing devices, peripherals, audio-visual equipment, and cloud-based services from various OEMs. Additionally, the contract covers related product lifecycle management services like asset recovery, disposition, and warehousing, supporting the full lifecycle of IT assets. The contract is managed by the FAA's Office of Acquisition and Business Services and is set under NAICS code 541512, with a size standard of $34 million. The solicitation process experienced multiple amendments, with the initial due date extended from December 5, 2024, to January 14, 2025, and subsequently to January 29, 2025. However, the solicitation was ultimately canceled via Amendment 0003 due to significant anticipated changes that would have exceeded what offerors could reasonably foresee, making additional sources likely to submit proposals had the amendments been known. The FAA plans to reissue the solicitation in the second half of 2025. Interested parties were encouraged to monitor SAM.gov for updates, submit questions in writing, and review the attached documents for detailed proposal requirements. The contract aims to support FAA's IT procurement needs across the agency and DOT-wide, with a focus on strategic sourcing and comprehensive product and service offerings.
