Karen Gillen

Karen Gillen serves as a primary procurement contact, managing acquisitions and overseeing the contractual requirements for her organization. In this role, she is responsible for executing the agency's procurement mission through the strategic sourcing of essential services and infrastructure projects. Regarding set-aside preferences, there is a significant commitment to small business participation. The vast majority of procurement activity is directed toward Total Small Business Set-Asides, with additional activity supporting Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses. Her procurement activity is heavily concentrated within the construction and infrastructure sectors. The primary focus is on Commercial and Institutional Building Construction, complemented by significant requirements for highway, street, and bridge construction. Additional technical expertise is demonstrated in the procurement of asphalt paving mixtures, site preparation services, and masonry contracting.
