Demolition and Site Prep - Bayview Parcel 1

This announcement serves as a notification of a forthcoming opportunity for demolition and site preparation work at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory’s Bayview Parcel 1 site in Berkeley, California. It is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract will be awarded as a result of this announcement. The project involves Integrated Safety Management (ISM) work planning, site remediation, demolition of underground tunnels and utilities, and infrastructure construction to prepare the site for the Biological and Environmental Program Integration Center (BioEPIC) building. The work will require coordination with other ongoing efforts such as site characterization and preliminary deactivation. The opportunity will be a total small business set-aside under NAICS code 562910, indicating it is designated for small businesses specializing in environmental remediation services. Interested companies are advised not to contact the technical point of contact or request bid packages at this time, as none are available. Instead, potential contractors should revisit the announcement site during the first two weeks of April 2019 for the planned Request for Proposal (RFP) release. The contracting office’s principal subcontract administrator can be contacted for general information, but technical details and presentations will not be provided prior to the formal solicitation.
