LOHMAN HELICOPTER, LLC.

LoHman Helicopter, LLC specializes in mission-critical aerial and terrestrial support services for federal land management agencies, with a primary focus on helicopter-based operations for wildlife management and forest infrastructure maintenance. The company delivers on-call helicopter services for aerial capture, relocation, and eradication of wild horses and burros, utilizing specialized avionics, winching systems, and low-altitude precision flight techniques. Complementing its aviation capabilities, LoHman performs heavy-duty road and trail maintenance using heavy equipment, including spider excavators and grading machinery, to sustain access routes in remote national forests. The contractor integrates aerial and ground operations to support wildlife security, erosion control, and water diversion infrastructure, demonstrating a unique dual-domain expertise in both rotary-wing aviation and civil construction within sensitive ecological environments. The company maintains a consistent and deep relationship with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, particularly the Forest Service, providing sustained support for road maintenance, trail rehabilitation, and wildlife management across the Northern Rockies and Pacific Northwest. It also delivers critical services to the Department of the Interior’s Bureau of Land Management, primarily for wild horse and burro population control through aerial operations and on-site logistical support. These engagements reflect a pattern of recurring, mission-dependent contracts tied to seasonal resource management cycles. LoHman’s core industry focus lies in nonscheduled passenger air transportation for government wildlife operations and support activities for forestry, with secondary expertise in highway and bridge construction for remote infrastructure. This positions the firm as a niche provider of integrated land management solutions, bridging aviation, forestry, and civil engineering services in federally managed wildland areas. As a small business based in Lewiston, Idaho, LoHman Helicopter, LLC operates with a lean, regionally embedded structure optimized for rapid response in rugged terrain. While currently holding no formal government certifications, its operational footprint and proven track record in high-risk, low-access environments establish it as a trusted contractor for agencies requiring agile, specialized field support.
