WASTE CONTROL SPECIALISTS LLC

Waste Control Specialists LLC specializes in the safe handling, storage, and disposal of hazardous and radioactive waste, with deep expertise in transuranic (TRU) and greater-than-Class-C (GTCC) waste management. The contractor operates a licensed facility in Andrews, Texas, providing interim and long-term storage solutions for legacy defense and nuclear materials, including elemental mercury and low-level radioactive waste. Their technical capabilities encompass waste characterization, packaging, transportation logistics, regulatory compliance, and data management for nuclear waste manifests, supporting complex environmental remediation missions. A key differentiator is their proven ability to manage high-hazard, federally regulated waste streams under stringent DOE and DOD protocols, including the secure storage and loading of shipping containers for offsite transport. The company maintains a strong, recurring relationship with the Department of Energy, primarily supporting environmental management programs through TRU waste removal, storage, and data system integration. The Department of Defense engages them for the disposal of radioactive and hazardous waste from legacy sites, including remediation of contaminated military properties. The Environmental Protection Agency also relies on them for nuclear waste storage services, indicating trust in their regulatory adherence and operational reliability across federal environmental mandates. Their primary industry focus is hazardous waste treatment and disposal (NAICS 562211), with niche specialization in radioactive and mixed-waste streams. They serve the nuclear defense, environmental remediation, and federal cleanup markets, positioning themselves as a mission-critical partner for agencies managing long-term nuclear legacy liabilities. Their limited but targeted engineering services (NAICS 541330) further support technical assessments for waste management planning. Waste Control Specialists LLC is a privately held entity headquartered in Dallas, Texas, with physical operations centered on its licensed disposal facility in Andrews. While no formal government certifications are listed, their consistent award history demonstrates sustained compliance with federal regulatory frameworks for radioactive waste handling, establishing them as a trusted, geographically specialized provider in the national nuclear waste infrastructure.
