THUMS proposes to rework an existing waterflood well in the Wilmington field on Pier J (J-339 I). The rework consists of repairing the casing of an existing wellbore by running and setting a casing patch prior to returning the well to its existing use and fall under Group B, of CalGEMs rework exemptions guidance document published in December 2023.
The proposed project consists of the California Department of Conservation, Geologic Energy Management Division (CalGEM) approving 1 permit for THUMS Long Beach Co. to rework the well listed below, in the Wilmington Oil Field.
