AI Contract Overview

This contract is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the Department of Defense, specifically through the Marine Corps at Quantico, VA, seeking input on foreign weapons and training capabilities. It clarifies that the RFI is solely for information gathering purposes and does not constitute an offer or a commitment to contract or pay for responses. The focus is on fully automatic assault rifles and machine guns, explicitly excluding semi-automatic variants. The training component involves one session each for operators and maintainers, conducted at Quantico, with respondents asked to estimate instruction hours and per-person costs for both groups. Additionally, the contract notice removes a previous ammunition procurement listing, indicating that foreign ammunition needs will instead be managed separately by the Marine Corps Systems Command’s PM Ammunition office rather than the PM Infantry Weapons office. Respondents’ contact information will be shared with the appropriate ammunition program managers. Overall, the solicitation gathers market data related to weapon systems and associated training but does not invite bids or formal proposals and does not guarantee subsequent contracting actions.

Marine Corps Cyberspace Environment (MCCE) Operational Support Services (OSS) and Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration
Solicitation # M6785426I4208
The Marine Corps Systems Command (MARCORSYSCOM) is conducting market research via Request for Information M67854-26-I-4208 to identify commercial partners for the Marine Corps Cyberspace Environment (MCCE) Operational Support Services (OSS) and Enterprise Artificial Intelligence (AI) Integration. The primary objective is to secure skilled, professional IT touch-labor services under a Government-Owned, Government-Operated, Contractor-Supported (GOGOCS) model. While the focus remains on providing DCWF-certified personnel, the government is seeking innovative ways to integrate AI and automation as embedded components of the service delivery model to increase operational efficiency and reduce manual labor costs over time. The government is specifically exploring service-based ordering models, such as procuring hours of service or specific outcomes rather than individual labor categories. For pricing purposes, any contractor-provided proprietary tooling costs must be included within fully burdened labor rates, as this is a services acquisition. Interested respondents must submit a capabilities narrative limited to five pages, a vendor comment matrix in Excel format with a 300-word limit per cell, and optional supplementary materials not exceeding fifteen pages. The current response deadline is November 3, 2026, at 1:00 P.M.
