The Air Force intends to award a sole source contract to Honeywell for the repair of the Color Multifunction Display System (CMFDS) Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) supporting the F-16 Block 40 through 52 Program. This firm-fixed-price contract will span five years and is justified under the "Only One Responsible Source" authority, as Honeywell is the original equipment manufacturer possessing exclusive rights to all proprietary engineering and technical data necessary for the successful repair and maintenance of these parts. The contract will be managed by the Ogden Air Logistics Center at Hill Air Force Base, Utah, and includes various CMFDS components such as the Common Color Multifunction Display, Interim Color Programmable Display Generator, Color Programmable Display Generator, and Enhanced Color Programmable Display Generator, each identified by their respective National Stock Numbers and part numbers. Although competitive proposals are not requested, the government invites potentially capable sources to submit relevant technical data demonstrating their ability to repair the items to government standards within 21 days of the notice's publication. However, information submitted after this deadline will not be considered, nor will the government pay for the data provided. Programmatic and contractual inquiries may be directed to designated contacts at Hill AFB. This procurement underscores the necessity of maintaining a capable, authorized source to ensure continued operational support for the F-16 fleet’s display systems.
