14--EVOLVED SEASPARROW MISSILE (ESSM) TEST AND HANDLING EQUIPMENT

The Naval Sea Systems Command is preparing to issue a sole source contract on behalf of Japan under the Foreign Military Sale program to Raytheon Company for the supply of specific Evolved SeaSparrow Missile (ESSM) test and handling equipment. The contract includes the provision of one inert handling ESSM, one inert operational ESSM, a MK 612 Mod 6 Guided Missile Test Set Update Kit, two ESSM Folding Fin Unlocking Tools, along with any required spares, technical data, and documentation. The delivery of these items is scheduled to occur within 18 months of the contract award. Raytheon has been selected as the sole source supplier due to its unique expertise, experience, and facilities necessary to fulfill these requirements.
