19--Basic Ordering Agreement in Support of DDG51 Class Destroyer Post Shakedown Availabity Planning and Support Services

The Naval Sea Systems Command plans to establish a Basic Ordering Agreement with Bath Iron Works Corporation for Post Shakedown Availability Planning and Support Services specifically for several DDG 51 Class Destroyers (numbers 104, 106, 108, 109, 111, and 112) built by Bath Iron Works. This agreement will cover cost type plus fixed fee orders negotiated on a sole source basis to support these ships throughout their post-shakedown periods. Services to be provided include advance planning, engineering support, on-site engineering liaison, craft assistance, procurement and processing of necessary materials, and handling emergent industrial availabilities as needed. Individual orders under the agreement will be synopsized when required according to regulations, and firms interested in subcontracting are encouraged to contact Bath Iron Works.
