The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-CCA-58802-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to Shilpa Patil. The project will utilize a combination of structural and bioengineered techniques to stabilize the banks of Murderer’s Creek (North Folk) at 20 Terra Teresa in Lafayette, CA. Severe undercutting along the western bank will be addressed with a rootwad revetment and native plantings. Along the eastern bank, a 124-linear foot gravity block wall will be constructed with planted rock slope protection at the toe. Boulder weirs will be placed within the channel to provide grade control and prevent further incision and undercutting. A new drainage system, boulder steps, and supplemental native plantings will also be installed as part of the project.
