The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has issued an ITP (No. 2081-2024-001-03), pursuant to Section 2081(b) of the Fish and Game Code to SR 2019 Giffen LLC. The Project includes the development of 4.26 acres, of which 1.90 acres is undeveloped land, into a 74,949-square-foot commercial/industrial building, paved driveways, parking areas, stormwater retention, and landscaping. A 0.53-acre existing paved area on Mariner Way will also be used for staging and construction access, therefore the total Project footprint will be 4.79 acres. Project activities include using heavy equipment to grub and grade the entire Project site, utility trench digging, paving, landscaping, and other activities. The Project will result in permanent impacts to 1.90 acres of California tiger salamander (Ambystoma californiense) habitat. The Project is expected to result in incidental take of California tiger salamander, which is designated as a threatened species under the California Endangered Species Act (CESA). The ITP referenced above as issued by CDFW authorizes incidental take of species listed under CESA that may occur as a result of Project implementation.
