The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. EPIMS-SMO-56247-R3, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to City of Belmont – Public Works, as represented by Bozhena Palatnik. The amendment to the project includes the following changes to the project design: • Reconfiguring riprap upstream of the culvert crossing under Salson Trail; • Reducing the extent of riprap and filter fabric downstream of the culvert; • Planting willow in the interstitial spaces within the riprap upstream and downstream of the culvert; • Rearranging riprap below the culvert outfall to provide positive drainage and eliminate ponding; and • Updating the project’s Habitat Mitigation and Monitoring Plan to account for updated impact areas and inclusion of willow cuttings in riprap matrices up- and downstream of the culvert.
