The City of Regina is inviting qualified general contractors to submit proposals for the 2026/2027 Expressway Lighting Rehab Construction project, focusing on the replacement of underground cables and luminaires along sections of Lewvan Drive. The primary objective is to enhance nighttime visibility and roadway safety while reducing maintenance demands caused by frequent outages and aging infrastructure. The City will supply the luminaires, but contractors are responsible for procuring and installing all other materials, including cables and conduits. This project is critical due to the deteriorated condition of much of the expressway lighting infrastructure, which the City maintains and operates within its jurisdiction. Proposals must be submitted by 2:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on June 24, 2026. While there will be no public opening of bids, a list of responding firms will be posted on the Sasktenders website. The solicitation is managed by the City of Regina, a federal organization, with Jordan Donohue serving as the contracting authority. The work will be performed in Saskatchewan, and interested parties can reach out via the provided contact information for further details. This initiative underscores the City's commitment to maintaining critical infrastructure for motorist safety on high-speed roadways.
