2026/2027 Snow Removal Operations - Accomac Residency

The Virginia Department of Transportation is soliciting bids for the 2026-2027 Snow Removal Operations for the Accomac Residency, covering Northampton and Accomack Counties. This is an indefinite quantity services contract where experienced operators and approved equipment, including various pickup trucks, dump trucks, motor graders, and snow blowers, are provided on an as-needed basis. To be eligible for Minimum Guaranteed Payments and Pre-Season Bonuses, contractors must submit their agreements via the Plow4VA portal by December 1, 2026. All VDOT-owned equipment must be returned by April 13, 2027, and the overall agreement period extends through April 30, 2027. Contractors must be active in the eVA portal and ensure all equipment passes VDOT verification and inspection. A critical requirement is the installation of Automatic Vehicle Location (AVL) systems, with mandatory communication testing scheduled for November and December 2026. SWaM-certified contractors receive priority status for work assignments. Compensation is based on firm unit hourly rates, with additional payments available for mobilization, rigging, and alterations. Payment is generally issued 30 days after invoice or delivery.
