The Gwinnett County Public Library (GCPL) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to replace the wireless infrastructure at one of its sixteen locations. The contract involves deploying wireless access points (APs) compatible with Wi-Fi 6 and/or Wi-Fi 6E technology, alongside the installation of ten new Cat6A Ethernet drops. The current setup at the targeted location includes Fortinet APs, while the library also uses a mix of Meraki and Fortinet APs across its other sites. Vendors are expected to recommend an adequate number of APs to ensure thorough coverage and can propose options for either leasing or purchasing the equipment. In addition to the core installation services, vendors may offer optional managed internal broadband services (MIBS) and basic maintenance for internal connections. These optional services are not mandatory for proposal eligibility but will be evaluated separately and should be clearly priced as distinct line items, with eligibility for E-rate funding explicitly noted. The solicitation was issued on December 19, 2025, with a response deadline of January 30, 2026. Correspondence and inquiries are directed to Jessica Fulks at GCPL. Further details about the solicitation can be accessed through the library’s or state procurement websites.
