The Iowa Department of Natural Resources is soliciting bids for the purchase of a new 2026 Can-Am Defender 6x6 Limited equipped with upgraded heavy duty springs, or an approved equivalent from a state-authorized vendor. The specification for the Can-Am model is provided as a reference point to outline desired performance and capability levels, not to restrict competition; alternative models must be submitted with full technical specifications, and any deviations from the stated requirements must be clearly identified for review and approval by the DNR. Only authorized manufacturer representatives are eligible to respond, as they are required to honor and extend the applicable manufacturer warranties. All proposals must be submitted through the designated online portal, and bidders are strongly encouraged to save progress frequently, particularly after uploading documentation. Anytime a respondent revisits their submission, they must recertify and resubmit the proposal to ensure validity, regardless of whether changes were made. If amendments are issued after initial submission, respondents must review, acknowledge, and recertify their proposal to remain eligible. The solicitation is open for responses from June 15, 2026, through June 29, 2026, and all communications and documentation must be directed through the official portal managed by the Iowa DNR. Primary contact for questions is Colton Lullmann, who can be reached via email.
