Reliability, maintainability, and supportability will be critical characteristics, as well as compliance with environmental, electromagnetic interference, and mobility requirements. Human factors engineering will be applied to ensure user-friendliness consistent with typical Navy Support Equipment standards. The procurement will likely be executed as a firm-fixed-price contract, initially covering five pilot production units along with necessary technical data, logistics support, and training. These pilot units will undergo pre-production testing and evaluations to verify suitability and supportability. The solicitation will be posted online with no hard copy distribution, and electronic offers will not be accepted. The point of contact for this procurement is Lori Bishop, who can be reached by phone, fax, or email for further information.
