RFQ - HOSPITAL ICE AND WATER DISPENSERS

The Department of Veterans Affairs, through its Network Contracting Office 02 in Albany, NY, has issued a Sources Sought Notice for Hospital Ice and Water Dispensers to gauge market interest and capability among Small Business firms, specifically under a Total Small Business Set-Aside with NAICS code 333415. This notice is explicitly for market research purposes and does not constitute a solicitation or obligation to issue a contract. The requirement calls for seven freestanding ice and water dispensers, to be installed at three VA New York Harbor Healthcare System campuses: two at the Margaret Cochran Corbin Campus in Manhattan, three at the Brooklyn VA Medical Center, and two at the St. Albans VA Medical Center. Each unit must feature a stainless steel frame and cabinet, produce up to 425 pounds of soft chewable compressed nugget ice daily, and include a dual-stage filtration system with a 1-micron pre-filter and a 0.2-micron sterilizing-grade filter capsule. Contractors must deliver, assemble, and connect units to existing VA water and electrical services, perform operational testing to verify ice production, water dispensing, and filtration functionality, remove all debris, provide on-site staff training, and supply all manufacturer’s manuals, warranty documentation, and product specifications, with a warranty covering three years for parts and labor and five years for compressor components. The Government will not reimburse respondents for the cost of preparing or submitting information, and while the notice references Buy American Certificate and 852.240-70, these are noted as requirements for a future solicitation and not applicable at this market research stage.
