A single Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract is intended to result from this solicitation. This requirement is being solicited on the basis of other than full and open competition to Bird Johnson Propeller Company, LLC (BJPCo) (CAGE: 07309) (formerly referred to as Rolls-Royce Marine North America, Inc.) in accordance with 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1).The Department of the Navy, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Philadelphia Division (NSWCPD) intends to procure the following services on a Sole Source basis from BJPCo, Walpole, MA: Repair of Waterjet and Impeller Drive Shaft assemblies for Freedom Class Littoral Combat Ship (LCS-1) ships. The scope of this contemplated contract will include the repair and repackaging of the following assets:*172AX MK1 Boost Waterjet Assembly**172AX MK1 Steerable Waterjet Assembly***Impeller Drive Shaft AssemblyA detailed Performance Work Statement (PWS) for the required services is included in the attached Request for Proposal (RFP) document. Award of a Single, Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Indefinite-Delivery, Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Contract is intended. This contemplated contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with a sole source under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 3204(a)(1), Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.Offeror must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to be considered for contract award.
