All materials must be traceable from raw stock through every process step to the final assembly, with permanent markings on components and accompanying certifications that are positive, unqualified, and directly linked to heat or batch lots. Radiography must be performed in accordance with specific Navy standards, and welds—especially on titanium and critical pressure-containing components—require qualified procedures and personnel, with extensive submittals for review prior to production.
