AI Contract Overview
The government is soliciting quotes for Electronic Cylinder Cores and Cylinder Locks under solicitation number 36C26126Q0818, with the goal of awarding a contract to the offeror whose proposal provides the most advantageous balance of technical capability and price. Evaluation will be conducted through direct comparison of all conforming offers based on three key factors: technical capability, authorized distributor status, and delivery date. Technical evaluation focuses on how well each response meets or exceeds the requirements outlined in the solicitation, with the government retaining full discretion to select a proposal that surpasses minimum requirements if it delivers additional benefit, even if not the lowest price. Quotes must be submitted by the Original Equipment Manufacturer or through an authorized distributor with a valid letter on OEM letterhead, dated within 18 months of submission. Delivery performance will be assessed based on the number of days after receipt of order, as specified. Pricing will be determined by summing all line-item costs to derive the total evaluated price. Offers must strictly adhere to the solicitation without alternates, and only responses that satisfy all mandatory requirements will be considered. The contract will become binding upon written notice of award sent to the successful offeror within the acceptance period, and the government may accept an offer at any time prior to its expiration unless formally withdrawn. The procurement is managed by the Department of Veterans Affairs, Office 261-NETWORK Contract Office 21, located in Mather, California, with Mohammed Hussain serving as the primary point of contact.
