This contract is for the “Maintain Parking Garage Safety” project at the Cincinnati VA Medical Center, aimed at addressing safety requirements and repairing weather-related damage in the facility’s parking garage. The selected contractor will be responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision to complete the project. Key tasks include replacing waterproofing joint sealants throughout the garage, removing and patching concrete at water-damaged slab joints, and conducting a comprehensive survey of the garage’s structural elements and concrete. The work is scheduled to occur during weekends to avoid disrupting VA operations. Additionally, the contractor will coordinate with THP LTD, a qualified consulting firm, to review the condition of floors, soffits, perimeter walls, façade, stair towers, and other structural elements for signs of deterioration, water damage, and structural concerns. The contract scope encompasses sounding surveys and chloride ion testing for all floors to ensure thorough assessment of the garage’s condition, in compliance with industry standards.
