The Combatant Commanders Command and Control Systems Group plans to release a Request for Proposal (RFP) FA8722-05-R-0002 for the AFSSS S-band Radar Risk Reduction Phase around August 23, 2005. The government intends to award at least two Firm Fixed Price contracts with an estimated eight-month period of performance. The risk reduction tasks include six priority areas: requirements trades, data fusion, design cost drivers, siting criteria and analysis, operations trades, and waveform optimization. Offerors will have 30 days to respond to the RFP, which must be requested exclusively through email from the Contracting Officer; telephone requests will not be accepted. Bidders must identify their business size and classification, including categories such as small business, 8(a) firms, women-owned, HUBZone, or veteran-owned, and indicate ownership status as U.S. or foreign. Interested contractors must be registered in the DoD Central Contracting Reporting System and should address any potential Organizational Conflicts of Interest to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer. This notice is informational only and does not bind the government or limit future acquisition approaches.
